Achewood is something you either love or you don’t. I just love it. I think it’s the funniest thing I’ve seen since Spy Magazine. And that’s about the highest compliment I can give, because Spy was religion to me. The author/artist is Chris Onstad and he’s such a twisted writer, I can’t say enough wonderful things about his comic strip. He just kills me. This one is my favorite and I’m using it as a litmus test of sorts. It’s called ”Philippe’s 5th Birthday,” and it appeared on August 22. To view full size, click on the image below. Or head over to Chris’s website.

OH my God!!!! Am I the only person in the world who hasn’t seen this strip? This is fantastic!
@ MBMQ
I just realized you posted here. It is fantastic, isn’t it? It’s my new litmus test of people. If they don’t think it’s funny, that will tell me something. What, I don’t know. But it will definitely tell me something.
Yeah, thanks for this link. I love it! How can I tell if I pass the litmus test? Do I turn purple or yellow or something? What if I only tried coke once and thought it was crap? Do I still pass?
@ David – The coke itself isn’t a factor, and there’s no pass or fail, really. What happens is people read this and think it’s funny (which means they share my humor) and stick around my blog, or they don’t get it and think it’s not funny at all and I never see them again. I’m really glad you liked it.
Oh dear. I don’t get it. But I’m sticking around your blog anyway, because I do get most of your sense of humor.
omg! i have to share this with people. This is one of the funniest things i’ve ever seen. must. read. more.
i am adding you to my blogroll immediately.
@ C – I love your blog, I’m adding you immediately also.
